Senator Rounds Introduces SEC Disclosure Materiality Bill

On September 30, Senator Mike Rounds (R-SD) introduced the Mandatory Materiality Requirement Act, which would require the SEC to determine that information is important for investors making decisions when imposing a new disclosure obligation.  Rounds stated, “American businesses should not be used as a gateway to advance climate change policy.”
