Joining the CCRO

The CCRO is an independent non-profit corporation, almost entirely funded through its member dues. Member dues are based on a 12-month cycle, beginning on the anniversary of the month you first join. We have engaged all types of companies as members, and accomodated expert individuals & educational institutions as well.  If you have any questions about your eligibility to join, just contact us by e-mail or call 281-825-4870.

Company Members
Company Members must have some segment or segments of the energy industry as one of their primary businesses.  Company members have included refiners, generators, municipal utilities, trading & marketers, retail energy providers,

The table below summarizes our framework for Company Membership costs. Please note that this seat-based framework is new for 2015.  We hope you will find the significant reduction we have made to our membership cost of past years, a factor that quickly advances your interest in joining with your peers:

MEMBER TYPE 12-month cycle
COMPANY MEMBER $13,500 w 1st Seat
COMPANY ADDITIONAL SEATS $3,000 ea named individual

Advocate Members
This year we have begun to establish "advocate memberships".  Advocates have included consultants and providers of various products to the energy industry as a whole and to the CCRO's Company Members in particular.
These companies are aligned with the CCRO in its mission to advance risk management related practices and with the roles that the CCRO has in our energy industry.  Their alignment makes a supporting relationship with the CCRO a "win-win" proposition.  The advocate gains valuable exposure to the CCRO members and the issues that it is addressing, while they provide the CCRO with resources and support to help things get done.
Advocate members are able to participate as peers alongside the Company Members in our working groups and at our meetings.
Advocate memberships are each unique.  Depending on the nature of the resources that a candidate could bring to the table and the needs of the CCRO and its members, an advocate membership is designed by negotiation with the CCRO.  In general an advocate will need to make a financial committment similar to the Company Member, and provide some other services in-kind.  Our advocates all work together with the CCRO to help ensure our working groups proceed and our meetings are enjoyable & insightful experiences for our members.
To find out more about how you or your firm might become one of our advocate companies, please contact us by e-mail or phone at your convenience.
